NTU implement the Block 1 of fisheries MCS Training Course 2023

There are 40 Participants from SEA States, Timor Leste and Papua New Guinea with Lecturers from Nha Trang University, experts from Australian Fisheries Management Authorities (AFMA) and invited Speakers from over the world. The training course provided to participants knowledges and skills on fisheries Monitoring, Control and Surveillance (MCS) to effectively solve IUU fishing issues in SEA region. Students also were introduced international, regional & some national legal framework and instruments related to IUU fishing. The expected outcomes of the training course that Students can identify and apply technical tools, measures and procedures to support for effective fisheries management in SEA region. Besides, participants also be provided skills, guides on create the MCS Plan, doing vessel inspections to identify IUU activities as well as social aspects in fisheries sectors.
